Website Review: PreciousYou.in

I have said this time and before.
One of the best things about blogging is being able to discover and connect with innovative brands/products/people from across the globe. My six years of blogging journey introduced me to an amazing gamut of creative brands who believe in providing unique products backed with premium quality.

One such brand that I recently came across was PreciousYou.in
One look at their website and I wanted to own their entire collection.
But hoarding is not a good thing. ;)
In a world full of greed, we really need to differentiate between our needs and wants.
And so, I patiently went through their entire website and picked 3 products for myself, which was a very tough decision; I must say.
Suave Statement Hasli

Lalmoski Earrings

Neenaski Earrings

PreciousYou is a start up online jewellery brand who believes that beautiful things shouldn’t necessarily be pricey. Hence they continually strive to source and curate the most exclusive fashion accessories from across the globe at a price that is affordable for most. They have jewellery pieces sourced from Afghanistan, Nepal and even Kazakhstan.

The website is user friendly and very easy to navigate. After placing my order, I waited for my package to arrive; while I received regular updates about my package being dispatched and when it will be delivered to my place.
I received the products within a week, and I was really happy to see that the products justified everything that their website claimed. The pieces were intricately crafted to precision with superior finishing.
I absolutely loved my shopping experience with PreciousYou.in
The products were love at first sight and I cant wait to style them on my blog in the coming weeks.

So stay tuned for more.

Outfit Post: A Green Story via Sareez.com

Let's all get this straight for once.

The Grass is not greener on the other side.
The Grass is greener where you water it.

So instead of fretting over what others have and don't, let's just focus on ourselves and make the best of what we have.

This green chanderi silk suit from Sareez is my latest possession.
I absolutely loved the fabric and the print and the fact that it is in my favourite colour, makes it even better.

All I had to do was, team it with my favourite pearl earrings and hand harness from Confusion Fashion Accessories and I was good to go for an evening out of Navratri pandal hopping.

What I like about this dress is that it can very easily be transitioned as workwear by swapping the accessories to something simple and work appropriate.

What do you think?

Superstitions and more...

Are you superstitious?
Do you follow any ritual without knowing the reason and logic behind it?

Well, I do. and I am not ashamed to admit it.

I find Indian culture really interesting and sometimes funny too. Our culture, though rich somehow upholds some superstitions too.

I am not the kind of person who follows all such superstitions blindly, but if I see there's no harm in following it, I do it. Just for the heck of it or just for fun.

Let me list down a few superstitions I believe/follow. You can have a hearty laugh later.

1) If my left palm gets itchy on some day, I believe I will have a financial gain on that day. And feel happy about it. And if my right palm gets itchy, which ideally means I will lose something, I simply ignore it and move on with my life.

2) If I spill salt on the ground or the kitchen platform while cooking I never use a broom to clean it.
Salt in Indian culture is synonymous to the Goddess of Wealth, Laxmi, and hence the best way to clean spilled salt is by pouring some water and cleaning with with a cloth. It doesn't harm anyone, or involve any great efforts, so I follow it blindly.

3) Gifting knives or handkerchiefs to anyone spoils your relationship with the person in the long term. But if you have to, make sure you give them a penny or rupee. This seems to preserve your relationship with the person....SOMEHOW! I have know idea how, but I follow it. :)

4) Wearing black on Saturdays. Well, I wear black almost on all days of the week, so wearing it on a Saturday is no big deal either. But it is believed that Saturday or Shanivaar (in Hindi) is a day dedicated to the worship of Lord Shani. And since Black happens to be Lord Shani's favourite colour (Lord Shani has always been depicted wearing black in our religious scriptures), wearing black on Saturdays pleases him and saves you from all bad omen.

Moving on to the outfit, I wore this outfit almost 2 years ago when we took a short drive along the Pacific Coast Highway and then went ahead on our second trip to the Universal Studios in the same year.

Something BLUE

Don't you feel happy, when you get more than you expect.
The same happened to me, after I bought this gorgeous blue neckpiece from Limeroad.com .
Contrary to my belief, it turned out to be such a versatile piece.

I have worn it on my Denims, Punjabi suits, sarees and my summer dresses as well.

Even after two years of owning it, it still remains one of my favourites pieces in my accessory box.
What do you think?

When I spotted these Kundan earrings on Confusion FA, it was love at first sight and then I found this pretty elastic Kundan bracelet and I thought, this is a match made in heaven.

I am more than excited to style their pieces on So-Saree in the upcoming posts.

They have a piece for every occasion and every fashionable woman.
