ElaboreStore.com

"Today's post is a sponsored post, but the opinions expressed below are completely mine."
A few weeks ago, I was approached by Elaborestore.com, to do a review of their site and products. They told me to pick up a few scarfs from their site and do a review of my shopping experience and of course their products.

I was told that ElaboreStore.com is the official online store for Shawls, Scarves and Stoles in India.
A store dedicated to shawls, scarfs and stoles only???
WOW..that first line was enough to get me excited.
After all aren't Shawls, Scarves and Stoles, the next best thing to sarees?? ;)

I started going through their site and was pretty impressed.

Theme Based Scarfs: The Beautiful Floral, The Chequered or the The Royal Comfort. Their categorization of scarfs as per themes makes us easy to browse through stuff.
Fabrics: Their scarfs, stoles and shawls are available in varied fabrics and make. I have become a huge fan of their silk scarfs and just can't seem to get enough of it.
Unisex: Most pieces from their collection is unisex and caters to the needs of males as well as females.
Price: Last but not the least-PRICE. Their prices are smart and buyer friendly. Their price ranges from INR 350 to INR 9000. So they have something for everyone.

So, coming back to my experience....
I picked up three scarfs and send them a request on a Friday.
The very next day, I received an email confirming that my scarfs were dispatched via Fedex and I was given the tracking reference to track my order.
Come Monday, and my scarfs were delivered to me.

Best things about Elaborestore.com
> Free Delivery on All Orders
> Gift Wrap Available
> Cash on Delivery Option Available
> Phone Order Available too

Now let the pictures, do the talking.
This is what I ordered.
The Package Arrives. Pretty Packaging...don't you think so?
My Scarfs...Exactly as I had seen them on the site. :)
I love their fabric and colors.
My Verdict:
Delivery: Speedy
Packaging: Fantastic
Fabric of Scarfs: Awesome
Style: Varied and Trendy
Price: Absolutely Reasonable
Should You Buy From Elaborestore.com: Hell, Ya..!

And this is how I wore the scarfs.
Let me know..what you think...

P.S.  The People at ElaboreStore.com are the sweetest people I have come across. No Hassles and talk straight to the point.

I came across Aditi's blog when I first started blogging, and I soon became a big fan! I love Aditi's style of writing, the topics she thinks of, the yummy, simple recipes and the nail art. The way she writes, its obvious that it comes straight from the heart. Also, her style of writing is interesting and makes you want to read more. I am sure Aditi is a very good story-teller :-) Am I right, Aditi?

Aditi was also very supportive when I started my blog, and our friendship has bloomed even though we have never met. I just want to say Aditi, I cherish this friendship. Thanks! And always keep blogging :-) In this picture, I am wearing my Mom's saree which is 25 years old. Old is Gold for sure.

Hey Rosh, thanks for all the kind words. I cherish our friendship too. You look like a dream in that saree. And yes...I am a story teller..but a boring one. :)

When Ocrun.com and I were talking over a blog post, the very question that kept dodging in my mind was....WHAT EXACTLY ARE LOLITA DRESSES???
After some research, my questions were answered.
Lolita Dresses are intricate costumes that are based on Victorian Era clothing. The original silhouette is of a knee length skirt or dress with a "cupcake" shape assisted by petticoats, but has expanded into various types of garments including corsets and floor length skirts. Blouses, knee high socks or stockings and head dresses are also worn.[Source: Wikipedia]

So-Saree at Pismo Beach- Part 2

My US trip included many 'first' time experiences for me.
My first time on a different continent.
My first time away from home (India) for almost 2 months.
And so on and so forth.

One such "first-time" experience for me in the USA was the Souvenir Penny Making Machine.
I loved it so much. I was making souvenir pennies everywhere I went.
But Pismo Beach was the place I made my first penny. :)

It was also my first time, trying to capture a mid air jump on the camera. I was reluctant initially and thought I would never accomplish it. But our hard work payed off and we captured that perfect moment.
I loved the end result. What do you think?
Picking up a few tricks from the expert.
Watch and Learn.
Yippee..we did it.

OMG..this was so much fun. Thanks Jaya, for convincing me to do this and thanks Manoj for capturing us. Great job Guys.

So-Saree at Pismo Beach- Part 1

The first weekend in California.....
We decided to go to Pismo Beach.
We were supposed to meet a couple of friends who drove there from Sunnyvale.

Since it was long drive, we first decided to grab a quick bite at Gino's Pizza.
I love Pizzas, but Gino's Pizza will always have a special place in my heart.. actually tummy. Their Pizzas are absolutely delicious.

Then we headed to Pismo Beach.
Pismo Beach was gorgeous and didn't disappoint us a bit.
But the weather did...it was so cold and windy, we were all shivering.
However, we still managed to click some pics.
Things I do for my blog...! Phew...I tell you..!

And last but not the least, this is what I wore at Pismo Beach. This pics were clicked, before I put my jacket, scarf and gloves on.

My First Day in America

Today we officially kickstart my travelogue from America...

We landed at the LAX Airport at 2.30 pm after a long journey of 24 hours+.
But by the time, we reached our Hotel, it was 6 pm. We were dead tired.
We freshened up a bit and literally crawled into our bed.
We were tired but couldn't sleep.
JETLAG.. AT WORK!
I should I have known better.

After hours of wriggling under our sheets, it was time for our tummies to wriggle too.

So we decided to go to the nearest place to grab a bite.
And since husband is the Biggest Self Proclaimed Fan of Taco Bell, we had to go there.
This is what my first meal in the USA looked like.
Mexican Pizza, Crispy Potato Soft Tacos and Chalupa.

This was my first time at Taco Bell, and I have to admit I am not a big fan.

Anyways, this is what I wore for dinner.

I managed to click myself before I could wrap myself with heaps of wool.
It was freezing but I had to wear this Polka Dot Baby.
The white polka dot scarf is actually the extra sleeve fabric of another sleeveless polka dot dress I own.
I couldn't throw it away and used it as a scarf.

What do you think?

Jomso.com

Indian ethnic wear has always fascinated me. So much that I even decided to name my blog after the eternally rich and  heritage Indian garment Saree.

And even though I have always claimed that So-Saree is a blog not just about sarees, but now you know better, that the blogger behind So-Saree  is a saree obsessed person, and you get no points for guessing that.
Anyways, so my favorite activity during my pass time is browsing through online shopping sites..especially the ones selling sarees. (duh...!)
So when I was approached by Jomso.com to review their website, I was happy.
Why???
Because they stock Indian ethnic wear on their site.
A website dedicated to only Indian Ethnic Wear, in itself was a big turn on for me, but that was only until I visited their website.
Believe me coz when I went through their site, I felt I was in dreamland.
No wonder Jomso.com encourages you to "Wear Your Dreams"
Buy anarkali dress online

From anarkali dresses to kurtis, to ethnic jewellery and "sarees" they have everything.
Buy designer lehengas online
Their collection of Designer Lehengas, which though limited, is one to watch out for. What I love about them, is the modern treatment given to their traditional lehengas. That in itself makes them lustworthy.

If you are not the kind who likes to go around managing your pallus or dupattas, and prefer to wear kurtis, cheer up, coz Jomso.com has a beautiful collection of affordable Kurtis on their site.

And Sarees... Well what should I say? Just have a look below.
Buy saree online

Jomso.com's saree collection will enchant you in a way you can only imagine.
From printed sarees, party wear sarees, designer sarees, lehenga sarees or bridal sarees...you will fall in love with each piece they offer.
And if you are the kind who is star struck or an ardent Bollywood follower, you are in for a treat.
I am already crushing over their collection of Bollywood sarees.
Buy designer sarees online
And if after shopping for all the ethic wear at Jomso.com you are fretting over where to buy accessories to match your clothing, don't look any further because the people at Jomso have taken care of that as well.

If all these reasons are not enough to shop at Jomso.com, let me tell you one more thing, they have free shipping in India, and for overseas delivery, any order above $250 ships free.

Now about Jomso.com
Jomso.com is one of the pioneer players in the Online Ethnic wear industry serving all over the world. Their mission is to take India to every corner of the world and that is why right now they are covering more than 120 countries across the globe where they deliver their products. Though their registered office is in Gujarat, their front end operations are handled in Mumbai.
They have partnered with DHL and Fedex to ship better and faster to you.
And Twitter Too!

So-Saree in America....!

Finally I found some time to sort my pics from the US Trip and starting May, I will be blogging exclusively about My First Trip to the USA.
I wouldn't be surprised if you would be totally disinterested..
But you know this trip being my first was special for me and I want to document it as much as possible.

I couldn't travel much or sight-see as I was working during weekdays. But husband made sure that we did our best during weekends, even if that meant sleeping for a meager 3-4 hours during the weekend and reporting to work directly from the airport on Mondays.

Hope you enjoy these series, as much as I enjoyed this trip.
