Floral Dress for Spring

Spring's Here...!!!
And like any ordinary Mumbaite I don't really care! Why??
Because in the part of the world that I live, there seems to be only one season - Hot & Humid.
Summers, Monsoons or Winters...it doesn't really matter. Because you will sweat in all these seasons.
But on a positive note...Thank God for Willis Carrier. If it wasn't for this guy I would be cribbing all day on the blog and refusing to step out of my house.
In case you didn't know.. Willis Carrier was an American engineer who invented the modern day air conditioning system.

When I was browzing through my old pictures, I came across these outfit pictures which I realized I hadn't posted on my blog. This was California Spring time, and I was dressed in my favourie floral dress. I love this outfit because it just spells happiness.
Its my Happy Dress.
I wore it on my day out in L.A.

Lombard Street in Go-Cars

Lombard Street or Crooked Street is an east-west street in San Francisco, California that is famous for a steep, one-block section with eight hairpin turns. Driving on this crisscross street is a different experience all together and it was too much fun.

After the cruise, we rented out Go-Cars and toured the city in the funnest way possible.
GoCars look like small toy cars, but are the first-ever GPS-guided Storytelling cars. They are battery operated and around 200 points of interest are loaded into the GoCar’s friendly GPS system.
You need a driving license to drive these cars, helmets are mandatory and a one hour tour costs around $58. But we found great deals on groupon and we rented it for much cheaper rates.

We once again drove on the crooked street in our Go-cars and had the best time of our life.

Go-Cars are definitely the coolest way to explore San Francisco or for that matter any new city you visit and you should definitely try them on your next visit.

Bridge to Bridge Cruise in SFO

After a long walk and photo shoot at the wonderland called Muir Woods, we moved on to our next excursion.
We did the Bridge to Bridge Cruise on the Red&White Fleet and it was the most surreal experience ever. On this 90 minutes cruise you see the entire San Francisco skyline while you sail under the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge, get prime views of Alcatraz Island apart from the breathtaking views of the SF skyline. It offers an audio tour (in 16 languages) that tell you about the city’s rich cultural history as you cruise past the area’s most famous landmarks.
We were here in the month of February, so carrying our winter jackets and gloves was a good idea.

Muir Woods

The second day of our SFO trip started with the tour of the Muir Woods.
Muir Woods National Monument is a U.S. national park and a part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Muir Woods are old  Redwood forests, and such forests grew throughout the United States about millions of years ago. But with the advent of the logging industry most of these forests were destroyed. This forest is named after John Muir, a naturalist whose efforts and campaigns helped save and preserve this forest.

Tips while visiting Muir Woods:

• Try to reach as early as possible, in order to get a good parking spot. Or else you might have to wait for hours to even get one.

• Wear your most comfortable shoes, as there's a lot of walking involved.

• The forest is dense and it rains quite often here, so the place gets muddy most of the times. If possible carry a light windcheater/umbrella.

• As you enter deep into the forests, it gets cold as well, so carrying  jacket wouldn't hurt.

• This is a beautiful place, so be ready with your cameras, but do respect the privacy of the birds here.

We spent only a couple of hours here, but if you are a nature lover and have the time I would recommend you spend at least half a day here, if not more. Scroll down for pictures.
