Mother's Day Celebrations At Home

Another Year being a Mother.
And another year of being used to the fact that no one is surprising me or celebrating me on Mother's Day.

Well, even when things were normal we never went out on Mother's Day, so celebrating Mother's Day at home this year too will not feel any different.

But what's different this year is that we have been indoors for more than a year now. And it's getting harder every day to explain a 3 year old that we do not know how much longer we will have to stay indoors.

I feel like the past 1 year Ishanvi and I have done so much home schooling and indoor activities that we could very well write a book on things to do at home with a toddler.

So, a little celebration to break the monotony will not hurt anyone.

Below are the things I am planning to do on Mother's Day :

  • Telling Ishanvi how they cut my tummy to get her out, so that she starts respecting me and understands that her mom needs alone time too.
  • Guiding her to make a Mother's day card for me, because husband will never take the efforts to do that.
  • Order a cake, because I am sick and tired of baking from last year.
  • Ordering food from a restaurant, because its so important to support local businesses. ;)
  • And of course visiting my mom's place so that I can indulge in some mom made tasty food. After all, its all about loving moms right?

On another note, I had mentioned in my last post that I have picked up one more fabric from Fabcurate, and I again made a saree and matching outfit for Ishanvi and me to twin.
I picked up t
his beautiful White and Olive Polka Dots Digital Print Japan Satin Fabric, and let me tell you it was love at first sight. I made a beautiful saree out of it and trust me it's already my favourite from my entire saree collection. Ishanvi's matching outfit turned out cute too.

Let me know, if you like it..
