Happy Navratri : Day 8 : PEACOCK GREEN Colour

Day 8 of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Godddess Gauri and the colour of the day is peacock green. This colour represents desires and wishes that get fulfilled.
The saree of the day is a pure chiffon saree with delicate zari work. The statement neckpiece from PreciousYou.in is definitely the show stopper here and the bracelet is a gift from my sister.

Happy Navratri : Day 7 GREEN Colour

We are on the 7th Day of Navratri and on this day is we worship Maa Durga in the form of Kalaratri. The day is ruled by the colour green which refers to the various aspects of Mother nature and its healing properties.
The silk saree I am wearing here was part of my sister's wedding trousseau, and it remained untouched for almost a decade, until I took upon myself the ultimate responsibility to rescue it from agony. ;)
I forcibly confiscated it and it has been flourishing under my loving care for the past few years. Hope you like the pictures.

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Navratri : Day 6: YELLOW Colour

On Day 6 of Navratri, Maa Durga is is worshiped in the form of Goddess Skandmata. The colour of the day is Yellow, which signifies happiness and brightness.
The saree I am wearing here is one of my favorites. I had styled it in a very basic style on the blog 5 years ago. The style I have tried below is something I have wanted to try for the longest time and completely out of my comfort zone. I love how adding a belt to the saree makes the saree look formal and makes it very comfortable to carry. Statement neckpiece and ear cuff from Confusion Fashion Accessories helped complete the look. Happy Navratri : Day 5: ROYAL BLUE Colour

Day 5 of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Goddess SkandMata and is ruled by the colour Royal Blue which represents divine energy.
The saree I am wearing here is a linen saree I had bought from Kerala last September. It's a deep blue colour, but somehow, the pictures don't do justice to how gorgeous it is. I paired this saree with my vintage oxidized jewellery which was a hand me down from my cousin when I was barely 12 years old.
I still have it, because I love it too much.
